Job Description

About the Role 

We are seeking an experienced recruitment professional, ideally with a background working in a recruitment agency, to join our team as a Workforce Engagement Officer on a fixed-term full-time basis until 30 October 2026. This role plays a key part in building and maintaining a strong pipeline of job-ready candidates for the aged care sector across Queensland through targeted engagement, recruitment and employment pathway support. Working closely with the Provider Engagement Advisor, the position supports workforce outcomes by connecting jobseekers, students and career changers with aged care employment opportunities across the state. 

Key Responsibilities 

In this role you will: 

  • source, screen and engage candidates for aged care workforce programs across Queensland

  • build and maintain a strong pipeline of job-ready candidates, including regional and priority cohorts

  • support candidates through the recruitment and employment pathway process via the Employment Gateway

  • coordinate interviews and candidate placements with aged care providers in partnership with the Provider Engagement Advisor

  • maintain accurate candidate records and ensure compliance with program and regulatory requirements

  • collaborate with internal stakeholders to align candidate supply with employer workforce needs across Queensland

  • contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance candidate experience and Ageing Australia program outcomes

 

About You 

To be successful in this role you will bring: 

  • experience in recruitment, workforce coordination, employment services or similar roles within aged care, health or community services in the Queensland market 

  • strong experience engaging and supporting individuals through employment or training pathways in Queensland  

  • demonstrated ability to manage candidate pipelines and coordinate recruitment processes

  • experience using recruitment systems, CRM platforms, or applicant tracking systems (ATS)

  • proven ability to build effective working relationships and collaborate across teams and stakeholders

  • commitment to working collaboratively in partnership with internal teams, particularly the Provider Engagement Advisor (QLD), to achieve shared workforce outcomes

  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences

  • ability to interpret workforce trends and contribute insights to program improvement

  • ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • strong attention to detail and administrative capability

  • high level of digital literacy, including Microsoft Office applications
