About the role
The State Director provides strategic leadership to advance Ageing Australia’s policy, advocacy and reform agenda across the state/territory. Reporting to the GM Sector Strategy, this role builds influential relationships with government, members and sector stakeholders to strengthen Ageing Australia’s voice, visibility and impact across the aged care sector.

About you
To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate:

understanding of relevant state policy domains including health, ageing, housing, workforce, regulation and community services

relevant tertiary qualifications in public policy, political science, health, social sciences, law, or related fields (postgraduate qualifications are desirable)

significant senior experience in government, advocacy, policy, system leadership or peak body environments (8+ years).
