Job Description

About the role

The Member Engagement Manager leads member engagement initiatives across their jurisdiction, building strong relationships with member organisations and ensuring they receive value from Ageing Australia’s services, advocacy and sector leadership. The role acts as the primary relationship manager, supporting members to stay engaged, informed and equipped to navigate challenges and reform within the aged care sector.

Key responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Strategic Member Relationship Management: Build and manage senior-level member relationships, act as the key contact for enquiries and escalations and develop engagement plans that strengthen member value, satisfaction and retention.
  • Deliver member value and insights: Communicate the member value proposition, connect members with relevant services, resources and sector updates and translate member insights into actionable outcomes.
  • Engage stakeholders: Build strong relationships across the organisation and sector, represent Ageing Australia at member meetings, forums and working groups and support collaboration and member engagement initiatives.
  • Operational management and reporting: Maintain accurate member records, track engagement and risks, provide insights on opportunities and support membership growth and retention activities.

About you

To be successful in this role you will bring:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • B2B member relationship or account management experience: managing relationships with members, clients or corporate stakeholders.
  • Commercial and strategic mindset: ability to identify and pursue opportunities that strengthen member value, engagement, growth and retention.
  • Collaborative and self-directed: demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team while managing priorities and delivering outcomes.
  • Event and stakeholder coordination: experience coordinating events, meetings, forums and stakeholder engagement activities.

Desirable:

  • Sector knowledge: understanding of the aged care, NDIS and/or health care sector.
  • Flexible, proactive approach: a collaborative, adaptable and “can-do” mindset, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
